Nancy Tamosaitis

Nancy Tamosaitis, president of Vorticom Inc., and a published author of four popular books on Internet communications, has extensive experience securing national and international media visibility for Fortune 500 and emerging companies.

Prior to establishing her own firm, she developed and managed from $1M to over $3M in client billings at three of the top ten global public relations agencies including Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, Grey Advertising's GCI Group, and Publicis.

As a technology-marketing specialist, her clients included: Ziff Davis Consumer Media, General Media International, Macmillan Publishing, and Borland International.

Nancy has also served as an on-air contributor to the CBS National News “Up-to-the-Minute” program on Internet-related issues. She also served as a columnist and public relations consultant for Ziff-Davis’ Computer Life magazine. During her tenure with Computer Life magazine, Nancy placed two contributing editors on CBS’s “Up-to-the-Minute” as weekly contributors to the program.

Nancy has also held marketing positions at BBDO, Bantam Doubleday Dell, Columbia House and Simon & Schuster. A graduate from Stony Brook University and Juilliard Pre-College, Nancy began her career as a violist at Mexico’s Filarmonica de las Americas.

BTW, net veteran Nancy Tamosaitis authored net.talk in 1994 for Ziff-Davis Press, offering insight into the online language of acronyms and emoticons.

Ron Thompson

With over 20 years of branding and marketing communications experience, Ron Thompson, Vorticom’s Vice President, offers expertise on building a company’s overall marketing communications strategy. He also provides invaluable expertise on helping companies with corporate identity initiatives and brand name development.

Prior to Vorticom, Ron was the President of Antenna, LLC.  The primary focus of Antenna was the creation of a lifestyle magazine/retail catalog/web site.  Ron developed the editorial strategies and marketing initiatives for this project.

As a senior marketing executive for Itochu International Inc., one of Japan’s leading trading companies, Ron was responsible for the development and implementation of retail marketing strategies and fashion research methodologies pertaining to the licensing of foreign brands.  He established research methods, forecasted market trends and prepared detailed analytical reports.  The projects he was assigned included the Time Warner Studio Store, in Tokyo Japan, Guess Jeans, J. Crew, Giorgio Armani, Starbucks and Dean & DeLuca among others. 

During Ron’s tenure with XICO, Inc., he worked on numerous corporate identity and naming projects.
